2019 Toyota Camry XLE

The Mobility, Activity, and Participation Lab (MAP) took ownership of a 2019 Toyota Camry XLE on April 1, 2019.  The vehicle was ordered with Toyota’s Driver Assist Package, Navigation Package, and Panoramic Glass Roof.  Along with Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P), the advanced active safety package that comes standard on the Camry, these additional packages provide all currently available driver assist features offered by Toyota for the Camry at time of purchase. When using certain advanced driver assistance features, such as Adaptive (Dynamic Radar) Cruise Control or Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, this vehicle would be classified as Level 1 Automated Driving by SAE International.1,3,5

The Camry integrates in-vehicle technologies, including six advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), ten in-vehicle information systems (IVIS), and four other features aimed at enhanced safety.  The ADAS features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Pedestrian Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Braking.  The IVIS features include Back-up Warning, Blind Spot Monitor, Forward Collision Warning, GPS Navigation, Head-Up Display, Lane Departure Warning, Parking Sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Speed Limit Display, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System.  The other technology safety features include Automatic High Beam, Back-up Camera, Push Button Start, and Surround View Camera.
